ISI Dublin Social Clubs

June 14, 2017

ISI Social calendar is full of afternoon activities – jam packed with visits to Dublin’s most interesting museums, parks, scenic walks and other tourist attractions. But on top of that, we also run Clubs which take place in the evening, are absolutely free of charge and can be attended by anyone! Clubs are a great opportunity to practice your English and make new friends.

We kick every week off with the Jobs Club. A good CV might be the breaking point when it comes to landing that job of your dreams. And if you have ever tried making a CV, you’ll know that the task is not as easy as it might seem initially. If you are looking for some help with your CV preparation or tips for an upcoming interview, this is the place to be! Teacher Finbar will guide you through the most important points and will be ready to answer any questions that you might have regarding your job search. Join the club on Mondays, at 5 pm.

Every Tuesday we have our famous Irish History and Culture club. Why famous?  Ask any of our current or past students – they all know teacher David and his legendary History class. If you think that learning about history is boring, think again. Or better yet, attend David’s class and be absolutely amazed! It’s super fun, interactive and informative. We can only say that this class gathers big crowds every time, and you’ll find out why when you join it on Tuesdays, at 5 pm.

We are finishing the week off with the Music Club. Lead by our social Programme Coordinator Linda, it’s a great opportunity for all music lovers to exercise their vocal cords. From current chart topping songs to the classics, jamming sessions and themed evenings – we have it all covered. New members are welcome every week. And if you play an instrument you are welcome to bring it! You never know, we might start an ISI international band. If you would like to begin your journey to stardom with us, come join the Music Club on Thursdays, at 5 pm.

For more information about the clubs check the Social Programme board, ask at Reception or e-mail social@isi-ireland.ie
