I had a really nice host family and I really enjoyed my stay in their house. It’s where you learn things about the real Irish life
September 30, 2016
October is all about Halloween in Ireland and we have lots of spooky events in store for our students this month as well as a variety of new additions to our social programme calendar.
Due to the popularity of our Irish History and Culture Club we are introducing a brand new club called “Express Yourself”. Express Yourself will be a drama based club for all students interested in practising their English Language skills in a fun, interactive and creative way. Our highly experienced and passionate teacher Leslie-Ann will be leading this new club and like most of our teachers Leslie-Ann has hidden talents; she is an accomplished writer and actor. This club is sure to be another success story.
Also new to our social programme this Month is “Hidden Dublin”. Led by our wonderful teacher Una the Hidden Dublin tour will give students a backstage look at Dublin, visiting all the hidden gems you won’t find in your Lonely Planet guidebook.
On Wednesday, the 26th of October our Halloween events kick off with a ‘SCARE-venger Hunt’. We’re sending students into the night to solve a series of scary challenges and collect clues to win an amazing prize. It won’t be easy though as we have plenty of tricks in store for unsuspecting students! We will also be hosting our annual Halloween student party with prizes for the best costume.
As usual Dublin doesn’t disappoint when it comes entertaining festivals and events taking place in the city centre. This October we recommend the Dublin Theatre Festival which takes place from the 29th of September – 16th October and the Bram Stoker Festival which takes place in the run up to Halloween night. More details about the events can be found here.
