The Ha’penny Bridge is one of the best known bridges in Dublin. It was built in 1816 and was the first iron bridge in Ireland. It was originally named the Liffey Bridge but is now called the Ha’penny because until 1919, there was a half-penny charge to cross it.

If you need to do some shopping this side of the city, Henry Street is the perfect spot! It holds two of the biggest shopping centres in Dublin City – The Ilac Centre, and Jervis Shopping Centre. You’ll also find every budget shopper’s dream here – Penny’s! And as a bonus, there’s a picture perfect view of the spire.

If interested, there is a history exhibition on the ground floor of Dublin from the arrival of the Vikings to the present day. Worth a visit!
