ISI Wellness February: Apart, but together!

‘We spend a lot of time judging ourselves harshly for feelings that we had no role in summoning. The only thing you can control is how you handle it. Dan Harris’

It’s been a start of a year like no other, after a year that’s passed, like no other! Some of us have been feeling a little bit down and that’s understandable. Lack of physical contact, not being able to see our friends or family and hours spent staring at our screens… Us humans are just not built for that kind lifestyle!
While unfortunately, at the moment, there is no way around it, and we all must do our best to protect ourselves and those around us, we can still connect and be kind to ourselves and each other. And to get through this, we need to look after our mental and physical health and wellbeing and focus our energies on small daily things, together online! Perhaps, even find some light and positivity along the way.

With that in mind, we are launching ISI Wellness February! We will dedicate the whole month to mindfulness, mental health and self-care. We have created a monthly calendar with a small task for every single day for you to complete. From a daily walk and a short stretch to meditation and recognising your strengths or things that make you happy – everything to help you feel better about yourself, the environment and find positivity.

We will also be holding a Mindful Meditation session with our very own Claire. Don’t forget to keep an eye on our social media for dates and further details!
We kindly invite everyone, students and staff, to participate and share their experience of our wellness February with us and everyone else on social media. Share your daily walks, morning routines and small wins on Instagram and Facebook, tag @isi_dublin and use hashtags #apartbuttogether #isiwellnessfebruary

We will be posting the daily tasks on our social media as a reminder and you will also receive an e-mail with the calendar for a full month.
