Heya! I am Ricardo from Mexico and I have been an ISI student since April 2023.
Not until November did I myself go on one of the Full Irish Day Tours that ISI Dublin offers every Saturday. I signed up for the Giants Causeway trip. Never have I had such a great experience with a Tour agency.
First, we stopped at the Dark Hedges Road, an avenue of oak trees made famous by Game of Thrones. In the series, it is known as the “Kings Road” and it is featured in Season 2 – Episode 1 of the show.
Then we arrived at the tour’s highlight: the Giant’s Causeway. This natural wonder is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and features roughly 40,000 interlocking hexagonal basalt columns formed by an ancient volcanic eruption. Around 2 hours to explore and take pictures were given, which were more than enough.
The last stop was Belfast. Since it was my second time there, I had decided in advance to visit the Ulster Museum. It is located in the Botanic Gardens just 15 minutes by bus heading south from the city centre. If it’s your first time in Belfast, you should walk around near to the River Lagan and the docks area.
So there you go – if you’re an ISI student, you should not miss the chance to see the most iconic locations in Ireland & Northern Ireland. Not only will you enjoy doing a different activity, but you will also take amazing pictures.
I strongly recommend taking any of the famous tours this agency has to offer!
