This January Dubliners & visitors are offered a unique opportunity to take a part in The Temple Bar TradFest. It’s an annual traditional Irish Music and Cultural Festival with the purpose of promoting Irish musical traditions. And what is a better way to get to know the unfamiliar culture than through the music?
Festival has grown out to be Ireland’s largest event of traditional music that also features Folk music, nu-folk and even Rock and roll. Besides musical performances in the large venues, TradFest also organises Front Row Sessions, which are intimate performances in five different pubs in Temple Bar performed by the festival’s performing artists. Families and children are entertained through the family events and workshops.
The venues chosen are historical landmarks, many dating back 1000 years. Even though they are not purpose build, the organisers endeavour to do their best to prepare venues to the very highest standards to make the experience an enjoyable one.
Tradfest offers a variety of gigs and events for any taste or age!
Headline Concerts are presenting the cream of both Irish & International traditional & folk artists in iconic Dublin venues. You would normally have to purchase the tickets to attend headline concerts.

They are held in well-known pubs around Dublin such as the Porterhouse, The Temple Bar, Fitzsimons, Merchants Arch and etc. You must book your free ticket in advance!
