My Journey to Ireland: A Dream Come True

Hi! My name is Maria Clara Costa, I’m 26 years old and I’m Brazilian. I planned my course to arrive before St. Patrick’s Day ☘️ because it was my dream to participate in this famous party in Ireland. Let me share my story with you.

I arrived in Ireland just a week before St. Patrick’s Day, and that was one of the best choices I made! Seeing everything up close was a dream come true. Luckily, it wasn’t too cold, and I adapted very well in the first week of class.

When I arrived at school, it was beautifully decorated with the St. Patrick’s theme. I entered my first class at the beginning and loved my classmates immediately. Although I understood a lot in the first week, I asked to start from the beginning because I was very insecure. The interactive way of learning English here is amazing, and I’ve made friends from different nationalities, like Kan from China, and others from Chile and Mongolia.

Adapting to a New Life

I arrived during winter and managed to spend the first months well. I certainly adapted in the first month to the routine of time and course. By June, I already had many stories to share about my months in Dublin.

Today, I’ve been here for three months, and I’m already in A1. I feel that every day I can evolve a little more in the classes that are very didactic. What I like most about ISI so far is the interactive way to learn English and the diversity of my classmates.

My experience in Ireland has been wonderful so far. From fulfilling my dream of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day to making international friends and improving my English, it has been a journey full of learning and joy. I look forward to sharing more of my adventures and progress with you all!
