Visiting Kilmainham Gaol
We are starting this week by sharing pictures of teacher Una and her students, who visited Kilmainham Gaol last Friday.
Una decided to organise such activity for her class as Culture Night, an all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and arts took place that day
We went to the prison because the students are interested in Irish history and cultural activities. They went there to learn/ listen and improve their English and have fun. They gained knowledge about the beautiful, historic prison building. It was interesting because it was a prison which turned into a museum.

Kilmainham Gaol is one of the most famous historical monuments in Dublin and a great site to visit on such an occasion. Students thoroughly enjoyed their outdoor class!
Culture Night is normally a ‘one night only’ experience, however this year you can continue to seek out the hidden online gems you may have missed on the night. And what a great way it is to get to know Irish culture, history and art.
